Fresh of the heels of 9 the came together to celebrate (Greg Harrowsmith) individual competion Win 🏆 and the strong results of its members . Members were in for a treat as the legend that is Ernest from Cape Town Meadery popped in to give a awesome talk on Mead making with some valuable tips and tricks. Thank you Ernest for sharing with the club, we all learned so much.

what am awesome weekend of beer, laughs, friendship and comradarie we had this weekend in . Homebrewers, Pro Brewers, Beer Lovers and all kinds of fantastic humans from across the country and beyond descended on the beautiful town of all in the name and the love of beer.

Thank you to everyone for pulling through last night for people choice 1 and fools and fans selection.

This was a tough one to judge, beers were awesome and competition was tight. Luckily we had some esteemed palettes in the house, (Nick) and our always gracious host ( ) thank you again.

We also had a very special visit from one of our Facebook community members, Jos, who happened to be in town all the way from the Netherlands. Was great meeting you Jos.

took 3rd place ( )took 2nd and the winner 🏆 for the night, who's beer will go on to represent the club at interclub competition.... (Greg Harrowsmith).

Hear ye! Hear ye! 🍻

By royal decree of the , all hop-loving nobles are summoned to the grand West Coast IPA People’s Choice Competition!

On the 26th of February at 6:30PM, within the merry halls of , the boldest brewers shall present their brightest, hoppiest West Coast IPAs — crisp, bitter, and brimming with bravado.

No lofty judges here — you shall taste, you shall vote, and you shall crown the champion!

So gather thy friends, ready thy thirst, and prepare for an evening of hops, honour, and hearty revelry.

By royal degree a People's Champion will be crowned 👑

The kicked off our 2026 brew year last night with our first meeting and bottle share . Had some great homebrew and some excellent commercial beers and of course the amazing creations of .

Kicked off the year with reflecting on some of the achievements of last year, taking third place in individual competion. Great results in South African National Homebrew Champs with (Greg Harrowsmith), ( ) & taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall with James Cook taking the top spot in the IPA category.

We also welcomed two new members, Dylan and Subs.

We are looking forward to another year of awesome beers, homebrews, competion, fun, laughing and lots a 🍻 with friends new and old
