LOOK WHO STOPPED AT DIE OU KAR AGAIN!

The one and only Jaco Ka'laari made another stop in Bethulie, and we absolutely love it when he walks through our doors.

Jaco is one of those larger-than-life Afrikaans characters who has built a wonderful following through his travels, stories, food, humour and unmistakable Kalahari personality.

What you see is what you get, warm, funny, down to earth and always ready for a lekker chat.

Bethulie has become one of his regular stops, and Die Ou Kar is very proud to be one of the places he keeps coming back to.

Jaco, thanks for never driving past Bethulie. You’re always welcome at Die Ou Kar.

Die Ou Kar, Bethulie is proud to be part of the 2nd Annual Poker Run on Saturday, 10 October 2026.

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to Die Ou Kar as one of the official stops on the route.

Bikes, cars, 4x4s, classic cars and more are all welcome.

2. Die Ou Kar, Bethulie
3. Willem se Kampie, Venterstad
4. Die Staaldak, Gariepdam
5. End – Horse & Mill, Colesberg

Entry fee: R150, including a free brekkie bun.
