As the Bathurst Bookfair 2026 spreads throughout our village, the Bathurst Agricultural Museum serves as the gateway to the weekend. Join us on Friday evening to immerse yourself in local lore, enjoy a fireside-style meal, and prepare for a weekend of discovery.

SATURDAY, 6 JUNE | Pike’s Post Programme
A day of debate, performance, and local history.
11:00 | Schools’ Debating Tournament
Featuring teams from Rhodes University, Port Alfred, Station Hill, Alexandria, Uitenhage, and Nolukhanyo High Schools.
Followed by: Drama performances.
14:00 | Local History Spotlight: Author talk, readings, and book presentation by Marie Geldenhuys.
Throughout the day: Debbie’s Scrapbooking Workshop (check schedule for specific times).
Saturday Evening: Karaoke at The Ploughman Pub.
