The next few months in Bathurst Village are full of fun! 🎉

We're kicking things off with a Meet and Greet at the Pig and Whistle on the 9th June, a great chance to meet your neighbours and connect with the community.

Then comes the magical Solstice Bagpiper up at the Toposcope, the Agricultural Museum Fundraising Auction and of course our beloved Christmas in July 2026 to wrap it all up in the most festive way possible.

There is never a dull moment in this village!

The Bathurst Bookfair is almost here, and we are ready for it! 📚✨

The whole village comes alive this weekend with books, of course, but also a range of interesting things to see and do for all ages right from sun up to sun down.

While the village is buzzing, we've got an absolutely packed day at the Pig and Whistle on Saturday, 6 June. We've got writing workshops, a live music session, an author talk and to round the evening off, our cheeky open mic night, "Banned in Bathurst".

Whether you're a book lover, a music fan, or just looking for something fun to do this weekend, come to the Bathurst Bookfair this weekend!

Workshop Overview:
Many aspiring writers are stuck at the beginning: a thousand ideas, but not a single finished manuscript. This workshop is designed to break that cycle.

Facilitated by teen author Aradan Yazbek, participants will move from concept to completion. Through storytelling fundamentals, creative prompts, and guided writing sessions, you will leave with a finished story in hand—proof that your projects are within reach.

About the Facilitator
Aradan Yazbek is a teenage writer with three novels, over twenty short stories, and several poems to his name. A StoryCon finalist previously published by ZamaShorts and Aerial Publishing, Aradan is dedicated to sharing stories that entertain, challenge, and inspire.
