One step at a time… power is on the way. ⚡

After years of running generators, chasing fuel, dealing with breakdowns, and replacing equipment season after season, it is exciting to finally start bringing permanent infrastructure online at DragonBridge Farms.

This is one of those behind-the-scenes milestones most people will never see — but it changes everything for the future:
🏰 Festivals
🌱 Farm operations
🚐 Camping
🎭 Entertainment
🍷 Meadery & future expansion

The vision is slowly becoming reality.

While many friends, cast, vendors, and supporters from the Brevard Renaissance Fair community have followed this journey, DragonBridge Farms, Treasure Coast Renaissance Festival, and Heritage Horizons Holdings are entirely new and separate operations with their own structure, location, management, and long-term plans.

Progress may not always be fast… but it is finally moving forward.

Something new is taking root on the Treasure Coast 🌱

A group of longtime Renaissance festival creators, performers, and team members have come together to begin an exciting new venture in Vero Beach, one that starts with the land itself.

Welcome to Dragonbridge Farms.

This new project is centered around building a working agricultural property, developing sustainable operations, and creating opportunities for agritourism and seasonal events.

Over the coming months, the focus will be on:
🌾 Establishing agricultural production
🌿 Developing the land and infrastructure
🏡 Preparing the property for future public experiences

As Dragonbridge Farms grows, so will what it becomes.

During seasonal events, the property will transform into the Village of Dragonbridge, an immersive environment where guests can step into a different world, even if just for a day.

The current goal is to introduce:
🎃 A Fall Harvest Festival later this year
🏰 The Treasure Coast Renaissance Festival in January and February

This is a separate and brand-new venture, built from the ground up by members of the community who have shared in creating these experiences over the past 10 years.

We’re excited to begin sharing the journey as it unfolds.

Welcome to Dragonbridge 🌿

EDIT: Sorry, we first posted an internal notice to our entertainers instead of our intended post for our patrons. Apparently, we can't do anything right. 😬

Our Revels Now Are Ended

It is with our utmost regret and sorrow that we are forced to announce that the 2026 Brevard Renaissance Faire is cancelled.

You may wonder why we’ve waited for so long to make this announcement.

Our team worked tirelessly all year to find a suitable property. Up until mid-November, that search did not bear fruit, and we made preperations to announce this season’s closure.

But then we found something good. Something perfect. But we had to wait. These things do not happen fast, but every indicator pointed towards the success of this deal.

Up until 6:00 PM tonight we were confident that we would reach a deal on our new temproary location, but we have received word that it will not be possible for this year.

With that, we are no longer confident we can find suitable property with sufficient time to put on a production.

We’re sorry you waited. Thank you for believing. A lifetime can be a long time, even though our days often feel short. Count those short days down, because we plan on coming back in 2027 and staying for a lifetime. With any luck, we’ll never have to write a letter like this again.

Any artisans, crew, or entertainers with questions about next steps, please direct them to your department head, not our DMs or comments. Thank you.

With Love,

Peter and the BRF Team

Today, on Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women of the U.S. military who gave their lives in service to this nation. Their sacrifice built the foundation of the freedoms we often take for granted. We remember them as soldiers, sons, daughters, parents, and friends who never made it home.
But as we reflect, remember that America never stood alone. In distant lands and desperate hours, soldiers from allied nations have fought and died beside ours. From the beaches of Normandy to the mountains of Afghanistan, the cost of freedom has been shared.
Their courage, sacrifice, and unity with our troops deserve to be remembered today, too. War may be brutal, but the bonds forged in battle between nations striving for peace and justice are enduring.
To all who have fallen, American or ally, we remember you, honor you, and are forever grateful.

For those who have ever walked the grounds of the Texas Renaissance Festival, you know it's more than just an event—it's an experience, a world built from imagination, ambition, and a love for history and performance. Today, that world lost its founder, George Coulam, often referred to as “King George.”

Yes, he was a complicated figure—visionary, controversial, and unapologetically bold—but even his critics would agree: he created something truly remarkable. From humble beginnings in the 1970s, what started as a small gathering in Todd Mission, Texas, grew into the largest Renaissance festival in the United States, drawing hundreds of thousands each season. Under his leadership, the Texas Renaissance Festival became a kingdom of its own—filled with laughter, art, music, magic, and memories that have shaped the lives of performers, vendors, staff, and guests for generations.

Regardless of how history remembers the man, the legacy he leaves behind is undeniable. He dreamed big, built boldly, and gave countless people a place to belong.

May he rest in peace—and may the festival he built continue to inspire wonder for years to come.

We recently lost one of our most cherished longtime attendees, June Barton, who passed away at the age of 99. June never missed a year of the event and always made sure to go see her “boyfriend,” Timmie, the bar manager.

Celebrate the life of June Barton, leave a kind word or memory and get funeral service information care of Brevard Memorial Funeral Home & Park.
