Here's looking at you 2024. π
ICYMI. We've taken the year off. We will be back in 2024. Literally every day I have people email to ask about getting involved or when tickets go on sale. It means a lot.
We're taking some time to listen, understand and expand on where we belong and how we add new and valuable knowledge and experience to our own lives, and to reconnect that with you and to our community through the most meaningful, genuine experience. To sum it up, I hate doing things twice and just adding a few beers or a few ciders or whatever just isn't good enough, but this self-discovery is a happy and rewarding experience for our family. If you've gotten to know us, everything is about collaboration and doing the exact same thing can just be exhaustive.
I'm in school to expand my knowledge on food, with majoring in sustainable food. This is a new thing and wasn't something I was doing last year. But that development aside, as early as today we reconnected with a few of our old friends around Naramata and around Kelowna who belong to the natty wine, cider and beer industry. We've been telling these peeps, since the then pandemic-cancelled April 2020 event, that we were going to get Wild Night Out going and it's coming closer. Beautiful things take time. Just like these nice, tasty things. Our hands are full. Our bellies are also full π€
We were ready to go for a 2023 event for FBF but made the quick decision in December to redirect our focus on food and executing this. Our family wants the best things in life, and that includes an even greater amount of the best positive feedback following our 2022 event. No cookie cutter festival here.. maybe just cookies π€. I know this will pay off, given our real extra focus and are expanded understanding of how and how we should contribute meaningfully admist just how bad global food security has and is expected to get.
I believe that the wait is a love letter to the best party. We hope you think the wait is worth it. We do. ππ»
