This February we shall instruct you
At Chaos Bloom for four weeks on Sundays.

But he has surprise guests to bring about:
Not only will you learn his improv games
His teammate Thompson Powers will help out!

You’ll learn of flowery poetic words
And how to create drama from thin air
To wield sarcasm, metaphors, and swords
To live, to love, to kill, to die with flair.

So learn new skills, perspectives, and games while
Makeshift Shakespeare teaches you in their style!

Entitled: “Dumpster Fires doth Exist”
Where to the streets outside mansions we’d go
And see if class warfare did still persist.

A humble common drummer and his friend
Saw one Lord Prick get pricked before his end.

Tonight we head up north to do a play
Where we shall create a Shakespearean show.
What type of classic? We cannot yet say
For, being improvised, we do not know.

We’ll get a title and we’ll set the scene
In which our plays events will soon unfold.
We’ll do a work that never hath been seen
Nor written, illustrated, mimed, or told.

There may be death or love or things intense:

Our Makeshift Shakespeare cast performed tonight
At Chaos Bloom’s Thursday Power Hour.
The packed crowd didn’t want a murd’rous night
So Keith and Thompson slayed instead with power.

The audience suggested Saturday -
A simple joy that they look forward to -
We then spun off into a “Weekend” play
With language only Makeshift players use.

If one designed the calendar from scratch
Which days would stay and which would be replaced?
If every day had a “Satur” attached
When would we Sun or Wed or get sh*t-faced?

Occasionally Mondays - Tuesdays Leap -
“The Weekend” showed us all the days to keep.

It’s back to school time - tonight we make art
At Chaos Bloom Theater with other teams
We’ll elevate our language from the start
And give life meaning through poetic themes.

There’s always life to live on South Broadway
But just one night to see our Makeshift Play
