Brian was a well loved gentle giant, and his passing has touched a lot of people. This Saturday 19th King Kong Bar at 7pm, we will say goodbye to Brian over a few beers. If you have a nice story to share on the night, it will be well received. May he Rest In Peace. 53 Phan Chu Trinh.

It’s with great sadness we lost a good man and friend in the early hours of Monday morning. Brian Humphries had an unfortunate incident will walking home from a night drinking with friends. Brian stumbled off a gutter and fell to the roadway hitting his forehead. He never recovered from the head injury and was pronounced dead at the New Le Loi hospital on arrival. We wish to convey our condolences to his family and friends in these heartbreaking circumstances. Brian had many friends here, and we will have a wake for him this weekend at the King Kong Bar 53 Phan Chu Trinh. We will post further details soon, as there are some details we need to go through. May Brian RIP :(

Next Wednesday 16th August, the girls at King Kong Bar will be handing out 5kg bags of rice to the less fortunate people of Vung Tau. Thank you to our staff and a patron who also contributed which enabled us to give 175kg last month, so well received by the people.

We know some of our friends and customers want to contribute this month, so if you would like to help out, please leave your donation at the King Kong Bar 53 Phan Chu Trinh before the 16th so we can order more rice. All donations with be registered in a ledger and the funds kept separate for the charity purpose. Thank you in advance for your kindness in supporting the Vung Tau community, it is greatly appreciated.

Last month, the girls from King Kong Bar gave out some rice to the less fortunate people in Vung Tau. We were surprised at how many people were so greatful and saw that many more people missed out. Tomorrow we will be doing it again. But one of our customers will also be kindly contributing, so we have 150kgs this time.

If you know some local Vietnamese people who are down on their luck, please let them know they can pick up at 53 Phan Chu Trinh at 5pm tomorrow Tuesday. A big thankyou to the gentleman who offered to help, you know who you are, and we are very greatful.
