🏮 The Red Lantern Story
Before COVID swept the world, The Red Lantern Street Bar was already weaving its magic on the streets of Hoi An — a tiny pop-up stall that had quietly become one of the most beloved gathering spots for locals and travellers alike. Behind it all was Dung, a warm and charismatic young man with a genuine gift for mixing extraordinary cocktails and an even greater gift for mak
ing every single person feel welcome. It didn't take long before his little street stall became a magnet for people from every corner of the globe — except here, everyone was happy, everyone was talking, and most importantly making memories. Most nights around 9pm, tiny little chairs would be filled with strangers from different countries, different backgrounds, different walks of life — discovering just how much they had in common. And when it was finally time to head back to their homestays, people who had been complete strangers just hours before were exchanging handshakes, hugs, and kisses goodbye. When the dust settled, Dung and Brad — a loyal regular from the good old days — joined forces and opened a permanent home for that same magic: The Red Lantern Cocktail Bar, at 153 Nguyen Phan Vinh, just a little further down the street. Now it's 2026, and while we carry the sadness of Brad no longer being with us, The Red Lantern family has grown beautifully, with three new additions Kimmi, Bee & Chris, bringing fresh energy, heart, and soul to everything we do. Including bringing back the second-best thing to cocktails – FOOD! The philosophy, however, remains the same. Friendly faces. A comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. And a soundtrack drawn from the golden eras of swing, jazz, blues, and the great singalongs songs! Some bars claim to have the best cocktails. Others claim to have the cheapest. Many of our customers would cheerfully dispute both. What we will say with absolute confidence is that ours are the happiest. The Red Lantern Cocktail Bar is fast becoming the go-to spot in An Bang village — and we'd love for you to come and see why. And remember, all that come to Red Lantern as strangers, leave as friends!
