Our Watermelon & Feta is one of those plates that almost looks too neat to touch.

Fresh, colourful, simple and made for those hot Saigon evenings when you want something light before the night really starts.

But eventually, someone has to take the first piece.

Món Dưa hấu & Feta của XVI là kiểu món nhìn đẹp đến mức gần như chẳng nỡ đụng vào.

A little reminder of holidays, salty air, long lunches by the sea and evenings that don’t need to end too early.

Do you ever take yourself somewhere nice, order a drink, open a book and just disappear into a story for a while?

This guest did exactly that.

Sitting alone, surrounded by warm light and the quiet movement of the room, completely absorbed in his book.

We love seeing moments like this at XVI.

You don’t always need a group, a celebration or a reason to go out. Sometimes a good book, a comfortable corner and a relaxed evening are more than enough.

It’s the beauty of shared time.

Different people around one table, drinks in hand, a game in between, conversations moving from one topic to the next.

And then that small moment everyone knows.

Bottles meet in the middle. Cheers.

Not because there has to be something big to celebrate, but simply because being together is already worth raising a glass to.

Những con người khác nhau quanh cùng một chiếc bàn, đồ uống trên tay, một trò chơi ở giữa và những câu chuyện cứ tự nhiên nối tiếp nhau.

Rồi đến khoảnh khắc nhỏ mà ai cũng quen thuộc.

Những chai bia chạm nhau giữa bàn. Cạn ly.

Không nhất thiết phải có một dịp thật đặc biệt để ăn mừng. Đôi khi, chỉ cần được ngồi bên nhau đã là một lý do đủ để nâng ly.

A guest told us something the other night that stuck with us.

When he ordered a Wh**ky Sour, he admitted he wasn’t quite sure whether our young bartender, Nam, would be able to meet his standards.

Fair enough. He’d been drinking classic cocktails all around Thao Dien and knew exactly what he liked.

Then Nam made his Wh**ky Sour.

A little later, the feedback came back: one of the best Wh**ky Sours he’d had in a long time.

Nam might be young, but behind the bar, skill speaks louder than age.

And we’re pretty proud of that.

Một vị khách đã nói với chúng tôi một điều vào tối hôm đó mà đến giờ vẫn còn nhớ.

Khi gọi một ly Wh**ky Sour, anh ấy thừa nhận rằng ban đầu anh chưa chắc bartender trẻ của chúng tôi, Nam, có thể đáp ứng được tiêu chuẩn của mình hay không.

Và chúng tôi khá tự hào về điều đó.
