• About KEIKO:
Born in Tokyo 1947, Keiko McNamara Borjeson started playing the piano at the tender age of three.
An artist of international acclaim, Keiko has been performing around the world since the eighties. She partly lives in Japan, the US, and Sweden and continues to tour around the world. in 1994, Keiko was honored with the distinctive title of Jazz Music Professor at the Shin-Yo University in China. Her transition from classical to jazz began when she moved to Detroit and met Jazz legends Carmen McRae, Sir Roland Hannah, Hank Jones and Mal Waldron.
She has played with the Nippon Symphony Orchestra, performed for President Bush at the White House, and has shared the stage with the famed Danes Bo Stief and Alex Riel in Scandinavia and Swedes Sure Nordin and Peter.
She has five studio albums:”keiko 1-2-3″ recorded in 1991, “Keiko in Sweden” in 1997, “Millions of Roses” in 1999, “Jag Vet En Dejlig Rosa” in 2005, and her latest, “Not Alone” in 2007.
