BLOSSOM DEARIE - Give Him the Ooh-La-La (1958)

Give Him the Ooh-La-La is a 1958 studio album which follows up on the success of Dearie's first album, the eponymously titled Blossom Dearie.

Blossom Dearie (yes, that was her real name), had been called the white Rose Murphy (because like her she accompanied herself on the piano), the female Chet Baker (for her relaxed and confident vocal style) and the Betty Boop of bebop (for the high-pitched, childlike timbre of her voice).

In 1973, the great jazz singer became the first female artist to have her own record label and produce her own music.
