The Humane Society of St. Thomas is deeply saddened by the recent loss of Pearl, a beloved coconut retriever who tragically lost her life in the boat fire at Compass Point Marina.

There are simply no words that can ease the pain of losing a cherished companion, especially in such a heartbreaking way. To Pearl’s dad, please know that our entire Humane Society family is holding you in our hearts during this difficult time. The bond we share with our dogs is unlike any other, and the loss of that unconditional love leaves an immeasurable void.

Last week, a beautiful donation was made in Pearl’s memory. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the generous donor who chose to honor Pearl’s life in such a meaningful way. Acts of kindness like this ensure that a beloved pet’s legacy continues to make a difference for animals in need.

As we continue developing our new website, we are creating a special memorial giving program where gifts made in honor of beloved pets like Pearl will be recognized and remembered. It is our hope that this space will celebrate the incredible impact our animals have on our lives and keep their memories alive for years to come.

Pearl, you were deeply loved. Though your paws no longer walk beside your dad, your spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew you.
