Today, our Sib’s On The Mountain family joins so many others in mourning the loss of Samuel Topp.

Sam was more than a regular at our bar: he was a friend, a storyteller, a gentleman, and a familiar face who brought conversation, laughter, and perspective wherever he went. Whether the topic was science, politics, spirituality, current events, or life’s biggest questions, Sam always had something thoughtful to contribute and a way of making everyone around him feel welcome.

He had a gift for connecting with people. He loved good company, never met a stranger, and left a lasting impression on countless lives throughout our community. Many also knew and loved him through his years as a radio personality, where his voice became a familiar and trusted part of daily life.

The chairs will be a little emptier, the conversations a little quieter, and our community a little less bright without him.

To Sam’s family, friends and all who loved him, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

In the coming weeks, Sib’s On The Mountain will be organizing a community memorial gathering to celebrate Sam’s life, stories, and legacy. We will share details as plans are finalized.

In the meantime, we invite everyone to share your favorite photos, memories, and stories of Sam in the comments. Let’s honor him the way he would have wanted through conversation, connection, laughter, and remembrance.

Rest easy, Sam. Thank you for the conversations, the stories, and the friendship. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
