At The Pelican Shop, we love, support, and deeply appreciate our VIPD and all law enforcement officers who put themselves on the line to protect and serve our community every single day. 🇻🇮👮♂️ It was great seeing officers pass by the waterfront just a few minutes ago during Police Week 2026, and it reminded us how important it is to honor those who dedicate their lives to keeping our islands safe. Here’s to a safe, peaceful, and successful 2026 for all of our officers, first responders, their families, and our entire community. 🙏
National Police Week, observed May 11–17, 2026, was established in 1962 by President John F. Kennedy, who designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day. Throughout the week, the Virgin Islands Police Department joins agencies across the nation in honoring officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, while also celebrating the service and dedication of active and retired law enforcement professionals. We thank the VIPD for all they do and invite everyone to show their appreciation this week. And if you’re downtown enjoying the waterfront vibes, stop on into The Pelican Shop for ice cold drinks, ci**rs, ho**ah, great conversations, A/C, and the relaxing island experience waiting for you at waterfront. 🌴🥃💨
