The Bad:
With a heavy heart and much consideration over the last few months we have settled into the reality that Ollie Food & Spirits cannot re-open in this health Crisis and its accompanying economy.
This December would have marked our 10th anniversary. Through many changes and struggles including health problems and the divorce of Ollie's founding members/ owners we have always been able to weather the storm; this time it just is not possible.
We will be listing the business for sale and seeking interested parties/ partners.
We have built Ollie into an establishment that we are all very proud of and have great love and admiration for all of our staff throughout the entire 10 years and to the community at large for your support.
I will continue to give updates and there will be some follow-up posts regarding a few loose ends.
The Good;
In the space next door (44 e. Cross st.) that we have operated as Cream and Crumb for the last few years we will be opening a new establishment;
Wax Bar - a combination record store and cocktail bar. Wax Bar will feature a lounge type Vibe with first-rate cocktails from our mixologists from Ollie who will be coming with us on our new venture. Wax Bar will feature listening stations, fully stocked record store of new and used vinyl and DJ's as permitted when it is safe. We will follow All State mandates of social distancing, requiring and enforcing the use of masks and keeping limited capacity. At the time-seating will be outside only. We are taking every precaution for your safety and health as well as our own. I don't have an exact opening date yet but will update. Please give us some time to make this as safe as possible for you.

Summer is once again upon us and we are so thankful for all of your patience. We are planning on opening on Wednesday July 15th with outdoor seating on Cross St and Togo/Pickup!

Over the last few months we’ve had an outpouring of community support asking if/how you could continue to support us.

Now, with our reopening on the horizon, things are a little bit different. As many of you may, or may not, be aware we have been given the opportunity to utilize a portion of Cross St as an extended patio for the foreseeable future. While this is great news for us, and we hope you, it does land us in a tricky situation of trying to furnish this new space.

With so many community members reaching out to help we thought we might try and take some of you up on that offer to help us get a patio going. If you, or anyone you know, have any patio furniture (i.e. tables, chairs, umbrellas, picnic tables) that might be borrowed for the summer please reach out via DM. We will of course do our best to keep good care of them with the understanding that accidents do happen, unfortunately more so in high traffic situations. We would be able to either return them at the end of the season or we would be more than happy to facilitate their donation to someone else who may be in need. The reality of the matter is that due to the space constraints of our building we have nowhere to store furniture (ours or otherwise) come the end of the season.

If this sounds like something you may be able to give a hand with we look forward to speaking with you and thank you in advance! Ollie is planning on being open Wednesday-Sunday 4p-10p for now with changes expected to come.

We have had a lot of folks ask and want to keep everyone as informed as possible as decisions are made. With reopening for dine-in service allowed beginning tomorrow (6.8.2020) we have chosen at this time to hold off and wait to open back up until July 6th. We will use the time to ensure the safety and health of our staff and guests by planning and preparing. Thank you for your continued support and concern. We feel very lucky to be a part of this beautiful and loving community. We look forward to serving and seeing you all again soon 😃
