Eighty-two years ago, thousands of brave young men crossed the English Channel and stormed the beaches of Normandy.

Many knew the odds.
Many never came home.

Their courage changed the course of history and helped secure the freedoms we enjoy today.

As we go about our daily lives, may we never forget the sacrifice, determination, and selflessness displayed on that historic day.

Today, we honor those who fought.
We remember those who fell.
And we give thanks for the freedom they helped preserve.

We will never forget.
