We are overwhelmed – the outpouring of love has been humbling. Our friends and family in Queens, Upstate NY, Rhode Island, and around the globe, Spain, England and Italy have touched us so deeply. Calls, texts, emails, some driving over 4 hours to just give us a hug and make sure we were okay. Cards, flowers, meals showing up on our doorstep, and donations made in his memory at his beloved Cradle of Aviation – overwhelming does not capture the emotion!

This is a snippet of the eulogy Donna wrote for her father: “I’ve come to believe that my parents lived such long full lives because of how they choose to live them, surrounded by wonderful friends and family, taking care of one another, enriching each other’s day and nights with love, good food and lots of w**e! That’s not something that happens by accident; it is something they built together for over 62 years.”

While we have the same values, we don’t always achieve them. We hope you all understand what you mean to us and how much you are a part of our lives.

We are lucky beyond words to have this community around us. Thank you to everyone who has reached out - it has truly carried us through.

While we usually have so much to say, today we are at a loss for words. Early this morning, Donna’s dad passed away. Right now, family is exactly where we need to be.

BBG’s will be closed though August 5th as we take this time to be together, remember a wonderful man, and navigate the days ahead.

Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and for keeping Donna and her family in your thoughts. We can’t tell you how much your love and support mean to us. We’ll see you soon. ❤️
