Whelp, we are officially closed and have moved out of Yakima. Thanks to every single person who supported our business, our GoFundMe, showed up for our estate sale stuff after, etc. We love you all and will never forget the love and support you showed us over the years. ๐ญ๐ฅฐ
So, what's next for y'all Yakima people? We fostered quite a few communities at our space, and I'm sure a lot of you are wondering where you can go next to connect with people (Connection is important: Don't hunker down and homebody up, get back out there to experience new places and people!) To help out a bit with that, we have a few places we'd like to suggest:
Chainsaw Cat is another Yakima 21+ establishment that is accepting of people from all walks of life. For example, they run music events, drag shows, and even took over our weekly Warhammer event! It is also literally the ONLY bar in Yakima that we'd be ethically comfortable sending trans people to for safety reasons, so it's definitely our recommendation for LGBT+ customers as well. Go give them $$$.
For card gamers, tabletop, and y'all wonderful run of the mill nerdy types, Victory Road Games in Toppen*sh seems like the good pick. They've actively been working to get people in, running more events, and we'd personally hate to see another locally owned small business nerdy establishment fade out, so go give them $$$.
For a general all ages hangout spot, North Town is always a great choice. Customers for years have had nothing but great things to say about them, they're fairly open and accepting of all types, and you can rent out space there to run your own events! Go give them $$$.
Feel free to comment below with any of your recommendations as well!
