Holladay Hacienda, Whiskey Bar, Tiki Hut, & Happy Hooker Brothel Founded December 2012. This is our page chronicle the long journey from bare ground to built home and life in our new place.

We discussed for years building a bigger place on some land somewhere so that we would have the room to do as we damn well please without having neighbors or a HOA stuck up our asses. December of 2012 we purchased 2 1/2 acres in an unincorporated portion of Dallas County. This page has cataloged our journey from grass (and donkey s**t) to the Holladay Hacienda, and will be our official home page. Hope you enjoy us sharing our experiences with you.

Hummingbirds let me hang out with them at one of the feeding stations (we have 3) in the flower bed this morning. Was able to stand about 2 or 3 feet from a couple of the feeders. Even though the heavy migration traffic seems to be winding down, we still have them in groups of anywhere between 3 and 10 at a time pretty much throughout the day, except in the extreme heat part of mid afternoon.

Salsa day!! Full tray of Romas & a 2nd tray of bells and garlic currently roasting. More Romas to go. And these bad boys...

Happy "gotcha" day to this goofasaurus.
In hind sight, instead of naming her Emma we should have named her Chameleon because she can go from sweetheart to total pain in the ass to playful puppy in the blink of an eye. But we wouldn't have it any other way.
