We are so excited for you!!! Welcome to WB! The best locals ever!!

We are excited to announce Flying Machine’s second act! Since the genesis of our brewery, it has been in our plan to expand beyond our first retail location. Given the enormous support from our community over the last year +, we are super stoked to bring this to a reality in our home - the Cape Fear region.

Wrightsville Beach is a perfect fit for our new spot, and vice versa. Our two owners, Grant and David, have always said that we want to be a physical part of the WB community with Flying Machine and with Grant being a WB resident, they couldn’t be more ready to make this happen. We were lucky to work with Ashley and Doug, the wonderful owners of the former Banks Channel Pub and Grille, in acquiring the space on Harbor Island. Their huge impact on the community was evidenced by the enormous outpouring of love and support we saw for them. We greatly appreciate their support for our concept and the next phase of 530 Causeway Dr.

Obviously, this is a crazy time for all of us, which means countless moving targets. We are optimistic about the future of our industry and while we can’t promise a hard date for our opening, we can promise that we are working hard to create something special for Wrightsville Beach and for you. Okay friends...the wait is over!! I am very excited to announce that Flying Machine Brewery is the new owners of Banks Channel!! Grant and David are great guys and they are very excited to be a part of our community!! Great things to come so get excited because I am!!

Hello everyone! We are announcing the closure of Banks Channel. This is an emotional time for us but it's also a hopeful one. The new owners are going to be fantastic additions to WB and it was time for us to close this chapter. I want to thank my staff for everything. They are the funniest and hardest working group out there. I have friends for life now and, for that, I will forever be grateful. And I would like to let the community of regulars and locals know that without their unflinching support and lifting me up in the darkest of times, I never would have soldiered on. There have been many bumps in the road but the support of everyone always kept me going. Please stay tuned to the exciting announcement of the new owners! I love you all. I'm grateful for you all. This is not a goodbye. I will see you all in the neighborhood. Thank you for the last few years and see you soon!!
