Room 111 was established in February, 2016, by Nate Swain as a place for community to come together for good times, good food, and good drink. Between its initial construction around 1876 and its sale to Charles Maccini in 1915, this historic building has seen use an agricultural supply store, a storage building, and a movie house, before the first candlepin bowling lanes opened to the public in D

ecember of 1916. This historic location is one of the oldest remaining candlepin bowling alleys in the United States, and has been a place of gathering for generations. Throughout its history, it has almost always been owned and operated by a member of the local community. As we celebrate being a part of what is now a 100-year-old tradition, we are committed to developing our local connections, and promise we will always put our community first.

A Message from Nate:

With a heavy heart, it is time to make the official announcement; Room 111 is permanently ceasing all business operations. The state-ordered closure of our business due to COVID-19 was simply too much for us to survive. We will not be reopening.

The business is for sale.

On behalf of my family, and everyone who has been part of the Room 111 Crew throughout the years, I would like to thank our dedicated patrons and fans who enjoyed eating, drinking, and bowling with us. We hope to see things pick up again soon under a new owner, and in the mean time, we wish you all the best!

A Message from Nate:

Unfortunately, due to an emergency executive order by Governor Chris Sununu in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, all bars and restaurants are ordered to cease on-premise service of food and beverage until Monday, April 6, 2020, at the earliest.

Room 111 will cease all operations and we will be closed to the public until further notice. Our current schedule of events will be cancelled, with plans to reschedule in the near future.

In the interest of public health, we will also remain closed for bowling.
We will re-assess in the coming week, whether or not to open for sale of take-out orders, or for bowling. As soon as we have more information, we will make that available.

We want to thank all of you for being such great customers, and we can't wait to be able to serve you in full, once again, as soon as this storm is over.

Kids ages 12 and under bowl for just $2.00 per game, and get FREE shoe rentals.
We also have a full menu of kid-friendly snacks and meals, as well as a fully stocked bar for the parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Candlepin bowling is great for the kiddos - the balls weigh only a few pounds, making them much easier to handle (Bumpers available upon request).
