“This started in the backyard, cooking for family and friends with them enjoying it. They have been requesting for a while for us to come down here and set up. We did mobile a lot with catering events. That kind of inspired this location here,” Deray said. “It is coming along. We are really kind of taking it one day at a time and just building it. We have gotten pretty good feedback and they like the food. So that is always a plus.”

Ashley said they take pride in everything they make and everything that comes from the kitchen is made from scratch. The menu features chopped beef, links, pulled pork, ribs, shorten ribs, rib tips, fried ribs and smoked chicken. The meats are smoked with hickory wood. Big Smokey’s also offers sides like baked beans, potato

salad, fries and chips. It also features several different types of cakes and pies, as well as a daily special and delivery and catering services.
