To Our Valued Patrons and Loyal Customers,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that Mixteca will be closing its doors on July 31, 2025, after 25 unforgettable years. Due to circumstances beyond my control, we are no longer able to sustain the business.

Throughout these years, I have been truly blessed to do what I love—bringing to life the cherished recipes of my grandmother, my mom, and Cecy, and exploring new creations through healthier drink options. It has been a joy and an honor to serve this community and share my passion with you.

I extend my deepest gratitude to our dedicated staff and the incredible people behind the scenes who made everything possible. Most importantly, I thank each and every one of you for your support, your presence, and for being part of the Mixteca family.

Position Title: Office Assistant

Job Type: Part-Time, Flexible Hours

Hours: 8 to 12 hours per week

Location: Mixteca, Woodstock, IL

Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who is familiar with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and QuickBooks Payroll, and can efficiently manage daily financial tasks. The position offers flexible hours, making it a perfect opportunity for those seeking a balance between work and other commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Daily Cash Receipts: Accurately record and reconcile daily cash receipts.
- Handle Tips Processing: Ensure tips are calculated and recorded correctly.
- QuickBooks Data Entry: Enter and maintain accurate financial data in QuickBooks.
- Payroll Management: Use QuickBooks Payroll to assist in processing employee payroll.

Requirements:
- Experience with QuickBooks: Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Payroll is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain accuracy in financial records.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work 8 to 12 hours per week with a flexible schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Basic understanding of general accounting principles.
- Excellent communication skills.
