Summer is winding down.
First & Foremost, THANK YOU!
Thank you all for your kindness.
Thank you for your generosity.
Thank you for your friendships.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful story with us!
Our 20th year!!
Where has time gone?
WE could not do this without YOU!
We appreciate you! ❤️

Second, we have made a business decision.
We are expecting some pushback—Thats ok.
We are transitioning to cash only and an ATM machine.
Without making this a long-winded post, here are a few reasons we have made this decision.
The credit card processing is Highway robbery!
They take advantage of small businesses.
They take advantage of you!
They charge us a monthly fee, then they also do a pass-through fee (4%) to you, the customer.
I have no control over any of those fees/amounts.
They recently took another large lump sum out of my account with no warning and very little explanation.
We have had our funds stolen in the past, over 10k.
We are working LOCALLY with our ATM provider rather than dealing with people from who knows where, if/when there is a problem.
(Our kids have gone to school together & are friends to this day.) We prefer to work local!
This will save you money.
You will still receive an itemized bill.
We are willing to help you with the ATM if you’re unfamiliar with one.
Please, be prepared and bring cash and/or use the ATM machine.

Hello Folks!

Wow! Can you believe we’re already coming up on July 4th?
Where has summer gone?

A couple of things,

It’s HOT!
Dangerously HOT!
Please keep that in mind this week.
We have an old & tired and very inefficient building.
We will do our best to keep the Air Conditioning on but it’s hard to keep up when it’s this hot.
-We will do our best.

It’s HOT!
Please be kind to my staff and my husband. It’ll be around 120-140 degrees in the kitchen. This can be dangerous and he will need to take few breaks.

On a good note,
We have filled all of our orders (and then some) for lasagna’s! Pick up will be after 4pm on Friday 7/3 unless other arrangements were made.
We appreciate you and your orders! Thank you!

We have lots of large tables coming in this week. That can cause wait times to take longer. Please keep that in mind.

We have brought in some extra help this weekend! We are excited to bring my longtime and dear friend Missy to help in the kitchen!
We’re so stinking excited for this!
Missy and I (Katy) grew up with each other in Tomahawk. I played baseball on the field with her 2 older brothers. Her parents supported us kids and showed up to every game!
Missy went to Culinary Arts School in Madison and has worked at numerous restaurants in Madison & around the state! Her resume is multifaceted & unique! Do not be afraid to stop by the kitchen & say hello and tell her and Tony what a great job they’re doing! ☺️

Also!!! We are planning on opening up the outdoor patio bar for drinks! Mark has volunteered to help out there! With that, we will have limited drinks and we will have cash only out there!
Please keep that in mind. It will be open Thursday 7/2 & Friday 7/3 this week. Then we plan on doing Friday’s & Saturday’s throughout July. We may have a few bumps & kinks to work out with that but so far that is the plan.

I know I never write on here I try to stay way from all these new fangled techno stuff.
Well unless it plays records. Heck, when I buy something new it still has vacuum tubes. 😂

I want to address some questions and confusion about the new sign.

Let me go back a little bit first. My father was a musky guide for 69 years, he is in the fishing hall of fame as a legendary guide. He wrote and published 9 books on musky fishing, he was published 49 times in all the major fishing magazines since 1973-2017. He was in the Wall Street journal and featured on Portrait of America on TBS. Not to mention, patents and copyrights on countless musky lures that he sold nation wide and into Canada.

So when Dad passed away in 2018, this has been swimming in my brain. As many of you, I have most of his mounted trophies and photos in my restaurant.

This is mine and Katy’s 20th anniversary of owning and operating this restaurant.

So after many years of this little musky idea I thought it was time for a change to the old sign, that 20 years ago, I loved. The sign’s time has come & gone. It served my little Ristorante well.

That being said….
I am still the owner. I still cook ALL your food from scratch. In fact, you can watch me and talk with me while I do it.

The menu is mostly the same, I add new things every spring but keep to old favorites.

If you come in for dinner I will be here. We are hands on owners. We have been since 2006.

I hope this clears up all the confusion and all the noise from the outside.

I would like to thank each and every one of you for 20 fantastic years.
