We're a microbrewery and taproom that opened September 2016 in Woodridge, a western suburb of Chicago. A skeleton key is a single key that can open many different doors—which is what we aspire to be. Our taproom is one such door, through which you can find delicious beer, camaraderie and community. Our classes are another, through which you can develop an even deeper appreciation for craft beer an

d get into the nitty-gritty of how to make it. And our incubator is the third door, through which a several other breweries have made their own dream of opening a brewery a reality.

It's The Spectral Silhouette Radio Show week here as we have 3 straight SOLD OUT performances the next 3 days!

That also means that the SKB taproom is open on a rare Tuesday night 😃 Don't have tix to the show? No worries, we are still open all week to the public in the Den bar (from 5pm to 10pm this evening, and normal hours the rest of the week), AND for the next 3 nights you can catch these handsome guys from Burn'n Bull setting up to serve at 530pm Tues, Weds and Thurs!

Damn if a nice cold pour of our Kolsch, "Shiny" doesn't just look like pure heaven on our sunny patio today 😎 Come and grab a fresh pint tween 4pm and 11pm this evening and start your weekend right!!!

And if you're hungry, we got ya covered! Our pals from Murder of Crows will be pulling up out front to start serving up their finest at 5pm today, featuring burgers, sausages, smoked wings and plenty more! (Tonight's menu in comments below)

It's a beautiful Thursday today and we just so happen to have TRIVIA TONIGHT!!!

The SKB taproom is open from 4pm to 10pm this evening and Ken and Jax are back again to host AsKen Questions - PRIDE Edition at SKB! Tonight come help us celebrate Pride month and dig into an evening of questions with musical clues related to our LGBTQ+ community; as always free to play (21+) with prizes for the top teams 😃 Team sign ups start at 630pm and the game starts at 7pm sharp!

Oh and come hungry, cuz Lil Greek Kitchen will be popping up at 530pm to serve up some gyros and other tasty greek fare!

It's a fun and funky Wednesday for us, and if you're looking for something fun to do check this out:

The taproom is open from 4pm to 10pm as per usual tonight, but we have our friends from Hustle Fitness - Willowbrook - Hinsdale hosting their annual co****le tourney right here in our nice, dry Lounge! Oh, and there just so happens to be a few spots left for teams that may want in!

It's Quiet Time Tuesday, y'all :) The taproom is open from 3-7pm today, but it'll have a distinctly different vibe than when we're normally open: Today it's all about the Shhhhhhhhh.

If you're looking for a break from being social, need some focus time for a project, or just wanna hunker down with a pint of beer and a good book, today is for YOU.

Swing by from 3-7pm to destress and unwind in our library-quiet atmosphere (with some soft music to help mask ambient noise).

On Quiet Time Tuesdays, our taps are open, our text-based ordering system relieves you of the need to interact with anyone to get a drink, and our quiet environment lets you focus on you. Talking is a no-no, and relaxing is a hell-yes.

Think of it as a mid-week treat :)

It's Saturday, it's killer patio weather, and despite the jealous look on Adam's face, we have a WHOLE fresh batch of one of our faves, "Shiny", back on draft today! Come and grab a nice, cold pint of our delicious Kolsch from 12pm to 11pm this evening! Light, crisp and easy drinking, this is the perfect beer for outdoor sippin'...

And the only thing better than a cold beer on the patio is a cold beer with a freshly grilled smashburger! At 5pm, our pals from Boom Box Burgers will be popping up outside to serve up their incredible smashburgers, rewind fries and more!

PLEASE NOTE: THE SKB TAPROOM WILL BE CLOSED TOMORROW, SUNDAY JUNE 14TH, FOR A PRIVAE EVENT!!!

What a PERFECT way to start your weekend!!! The SKB taproom is open from 4pm to 11pm tonight, and we have a full list of tasty beers to keep ya cool out in the sun or inside 😎

At 5pm today, you can expect to see our friends from The Argonaut shucking fresh oysters and whipping up delicious lobster and shrimp rolls to order, so come hungry!

We also have our sinister, psychedelic pals The Ex-Bombers hitting the Den stage at 730pm to play a night of wicked covers and originals as only they can! Come grab a beer and stick around for some tunes and food... YOU deserve it!
