To all our Rivers Edge friends and family, it is with heavy hearts to share the news of Richard Ziemkes passing. Richard worked at Rivers Edge for twenty-five and a half years and watched most of the rest of the staff grow up from little kids to adults. Richard had a way with making the dad jokes funny, and his infectious laugh could make anyone in the room smile.
We know a lot of you out there have had the pleasure of meeting Richard, and we were very fortunate to have him here for the time we did. Most people will remember all the Karaoke nights when he was singing his heart out and entertaining all of us.
Richard will be missed, but he will forever be a part of Rivers Edge. His memory will be with all of us and will not be forgotten.

Richard Ziemke, age 63, died on Thursday, September 11, 2025 after a battle with cancer.  He was born May 24, 1962 in Fort Bragg, NC to Donald and Dorothy (Jensen) Ziemke, while his father was in the reserves. At seven weeks old, they came home to continue farming.
