KDVS 90.3 FM Davis, California needs your help to continue operations. Despite seven years of planning, UC Davis administration officials have yet to identify a permanent location for the station. KDVS needs you to notify them that you care about the outcome.

It just wouldn’t seem like mid-January without a show by John McCutcheon. While we wish we could host John –– and all of you –– in person this weekend, we’re excited to be a co-sponsor of John’s online “Left Coast Tour” show tomorrow (Saturday, January 16) at 4 p.m. Pacific. Big thanks to John and Mike Green of Mike Green & Associates for orchestrating this and devising a way for presenters and venues, including The Palms, to benefit from ticket sales.

 The concert will be on the Mandolin live-streaming platform. Tickets are available at three price points ($20 general admission, $10 student, $5 unemployed/laid off) or $30 for a household. “The Real Deal!!” is what Billy Joe Shaver wrote inside an outline of his sawmill-shortened right hand as part of one of his signatures on our green room walls.

And he was right.

Thank you, Billy Joe, for all the shows at The Palms, first in Davis and then in Winters, and for all the music that you launched into this world. Somehow, it seems fitting, rather than ironic, that “Live Forever” comes to mind today.

Dear Fronds,

We are writing to let you know that The Palms is going on indefinite hiatus.

We're so grateful for your support over the last 45 years! Since the early days in the barn, you've put your trust in The Palms to bring you good music, whether the band was a Grammy-winning national treasure or an indie group from down the street. You told your friends, sat in our uncomfortable chairs, and tipped your bartenders. Most importantly, you kept coming back.

Though concerts everywhere are on hold right now, music can sustain us through this rough time, so please keep listening! We've also listed some great arts organizations below that could really use your support if you have the means.

Due to the new spike in COVID-19 cases in Yolo County, we have decided to postpone Friday's outdoor music event with Big Ben Music. We are so grateful for the generous donations we've already received for this event, and we can't wait to see you all in person when the time is right.

Hello, Palm Fronds! We miss you all so much! We hope you and your families have been staying as healthy and happy as possible.
We're excited to announce that this Friday, from 6-8pm, our friends at Big Ben Music will be playing some tunes on Main Street, right below The Palms. The City of Winters has blocked off a section of Main Street as a pedestrian area, with picnic tables (spaced far apart) so folks can order takeout from one of our great restaurants and eat outside. If you feel comfortable doing so, please join us for some live music and delicious food!
If you can't join us in person, you can watch the live feed here on Facebook! Check back on Friday for more info.

COVID-19 UPDATE: We are actively monitoring the COVID-19 situation, and have decided to take the following steps: Saturday's show with John Reischman & The Jaybirds will CONTINUE. Sunday Afternoon Jazz: Swimming in Bengal Collective & Naoko will be RESCHEDULED. Almost St. Patrick's Pub Night is CANCELED.

Miss Lonely Hearts w/ Desiree Cannon (3/28) will be RESCHEDULED. We will have more information about Tim Bluhm Band (3/27) soon.

We take the health of our audience members, performers, and staff very seriously. We want to assure you that we are taking additional measures to clean and disinfect all surfaces at The Palms, and will be spacing chairs farther apart.
