Today is the last day for the Bear and Peacock and the Winter Park Distilling Company at the Brewstillery in Winter Park! We’re gonna miss this place, but it’s hard to be too sentimental when we see where we’re headed. Our new facility in downtown Orlando will be open this fall and even more amazing than our place on Orange Avenue. We look forward to raising a pint - and maybe even a cocktail or two (yes, you read that correctly) with all of you again soon!

The Brewstillery online store will be down for a short time during this transition. You can find our spirits at ABC and Publix Liquor in the mean time. Follow us on our social media for updates and keep your eyes peeled for us at your local bars and restaurants.

Our Story

After opening the Winter Park Distilling Company, owners Andrew Asher and Paul Twyford wanted to open an establishment where fans could sit and enjoy a drink while watching them make their award-winning Florida bourbon. Regrettably, Florida law wouldn’t allow a bar inside of a distillery. Fortunately, Florida law does allow a bar inside of a brewery. Seizing the moment, Andrew and Paul invited their friend Paul (Smerge), a seasoned homebrewer who had spent the past 10 years working with other local breweries, to join them as the Bear & Peacock’s Brew Master in 2016. That is how the Bear and Peacock Brewery was born - and along the way how Andrew and Paul created Florida’s first ever “Brewstillery”.
