You know all of those exotic flavored beers you love? Like coconut porters or raspberry wheat ales? Those flavors aren't actually added until the beer heads to the fermentor. They're either added as purees (berries and other fruits), as the actual whole product (spices, baseball bats), or in the case of a flavor that is subtle and hard to impart into a beer, a natural flavoring is added (coconut, watermelon, etc.).
