The History of "Texas Rose Restaurant & Club" - The "Texas Rose" was conceived as a memorial to Rose Madrigal who was tragically killed at the home of her parents in Hutchins, Texas in Aug. After the long process of choosing a business name, Allan Clark, who was quietly listening to all the suggestions, stood up and stated, " NO! We are going to name it "Texas Rose" in memory of "Rose". Constructi

on began in Jan. '82 and doors opened on May 9, '82. To further honor "Rose's" memory, Celeste had the art teacher at her high school to paint a mural in one corner of the interior. This mural also honors some of the people who had been so helpful to the Madrigal Family at the time of "Rose's" tragic death. In the mural you will find the following: Allan Clark-bartender, "Rose"- saloon girl, Johnny Moseley- our first security guard, Johnny's wife, Debbie - Celeste's secretary is in the portrait inside the mural, Celeste's mom & dad - dining in the dining area, James Blystone - one of "Rose's" paramedics at the scene of accident is depicted as a pool player in the mural, and Gus Sadler & Leeman Lumpkin- first faithful customers, are also depicted as pool players. In 2012, we will be celebrating our 30th anniversary and we are looking forward to a gigantic bash to honor this memorable occasion with the entire "Texas Rose Family & Friends". We would certainly like to thank everyone who has crossed our paths here at "Texas Rose". It is a treasured scrapbook filled with pleasant memories. It may have happened years ago or just yesterday, but every person who has crossed paths with us has changed our lives in some way: simple conversation, a warm hug, or a shared meal. Every customer has helped us grow, heal, laugh, love, learn, and smile. The memories and blessings continue daily. Thank you for every memory!! - Celeste Madrigal & Allan Clark
