We are prepping journal kits so you can get right to creating! We have a small selection of journals and other supplies to purchase. OR you can bring your own and journal with us.

Feel free to borrow our tools like our paper cutters, scissors, punches and more. We will have specials on drinks and cookies!

If you’ve been into the Lounge lately, you know I have the front corner set up with “project” equipment. While that continues to take shape, we can use some of it for our new Junk Journaling Thursdays.

If you ever wanted to start one or have one, come create together during our special hours. I am putting together kits to purchase, tools to borrow, and ideas to share!

Our first night is Sept 10! 5-7:30. Stop in when you can, stay for a bit or the whole time. I will be journaling alongside you giving tips and tricks on folders and other fun inserts.

The Lounge will be closed Thursday August 20th through August 26th! We are in Boston with our Organic Tea Collective blends over the weekend and then recovering for the rest of the days! The event is almost sold out! Capped at 1200 tickets! We’ve been blending and packing by had for weeks.

So excited to see our Nepal Tea Collective friends and buy more tea!!!

Hey friends, the orange dreamcicle is back for summer! After selling out of our peach oolong refresher we asked you what you wanted. I was surprised to hear that you wanted this. We held a private momo making class at the Lounge. I went on a tea tour with Nepal Tea Collective this past May and fell head over heels in love with the country, the culture, the people and the food!

At the table is Aarju from Nepal, Henry from China, and Denis from Russia, all studying Williams College and myself of course from the Philippines. Food truly brings people together.

Aarju was in charge of the whole production. THANK YOU! All I can say is I’m sooooo full and happy! Momo making is definitely best done as a team. We had a great evening of laughs, plotting (sorry Henry) and stuffing our faces with a bit of Nepal flavor.

While we waited for our momos to steam, we played a couple hands of “friendly” UNO, house rules of course! The hand shown is mine. Somehow I won this round. Despite the “100 times” that Henry was dealt the +4 card, he too came away with a win. When you play do you stack?

Instead of rushing toward action, the novel begins with observation. Like the rings of a tree, each person’s story accumulates slowly, layer upon layer.

Did this draw you in or not. Often times when we start a new book, we need to get into alignment with the voice of the book itself.

Character Study
As you meet the first characters, pay less attention to what happens to them and more to what motivates them.
Ask yourself:
* What is this character searching for?
* What are they unable to see about themselves?
* Which character seems rooted?
* Which character seems adrift?
* What kind of relationship does each person have with nature?
Think of each character as representing a different way humans relate to the natural world.

Photography Invitation
Using only your phone, take three photographs.

Avoid photographing the whole tree.
