As many of our regular customers know, my father, who helped run Emerald alongside my mother, was diagnosed with liver cancer 3 years ago. Since then my mother (who people know as Moony) has worked so hard to keep the restaurant running amidst COVID and my dad’s illness.
I’m sad to announce that he has passed away yesterday on Mother’s day. Moony still went to work just a couple hours after his passing. She didn’t want to close on such a busy day filled with reservations and with Emerald still understaffed.
We will be closed today until Wednesday (5/9-5/11) to grieve our loss. I also ask that customers please be patient if service isn’t perfect (at Emerald and at any other restaurant.) You never know what others are going through. Please be kind and understanding- small businesses are trying their best. ♥️
