Lenten Concert Series at St. John the Baptist Church continues on March 8, sponsored by Baran Funeral Home. Program includes Copland's Appalachian Spring Suite, Purcell Sonata for Trumpet and Strings with Jordan Olive, soloist, and excerpts from Handel's Messiah with baritone Stephen Lancaster.

Join members of the Whiting Park Festival Orchestra, Robert Vodnoy conducting, for a glorious Lenten Concert on March 8 at 4:00pm at St John The Baptist Church, 1849 Lincoln Ave, Whiting, IN 46394.

The program features Copland's Appalachian Spring Suite in the original orchestration for 13 instruments, plus Purcell's Sonata for Trumpet and Strings and excerpts from Handel's Messiah.

Baritone Stephen Lancaster and trumpeter Jordan Olive are the featured soloists.
