https://redantspantsmusicfestival.com/ The Red Ants Pants Music Festival was founded in 2011. It is designed to bring people together and is a program of the 501(c)(3) Red Ants Pants Foundation. Our non-profit is in support of women’s leadership, working family farms and ranches, and rural communities. We use pr

oceeds from the festival to fund our grant cycle and run our timber skills and women’s leadership events. In 2011, 6,000 fans came to celebrate rural Montana in a cow pasture. Over the years, attendees have enjoyed headliners including Merle Haggard, Emmylou Harris, Charley Pride, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Keb' Mo', Lucinda Williams, and Dwight Yoakam. The festival continues its success into its fifteenth year July 23-26, 2026, aiming to improve upon the authentic, rich community culture attendees enjoy in the cow pasture. We’re bringing a taste of our Foundation Work Skills programs right to the campground with co-ed mini workshops designed to build confidence, practical know-how, and a willingness to try something new. Participants can get a peek into our popular Chainsaw 101 and Trailer Backing courses — all in a supportive, hands-on setting before the music kicks off.

Ricky Skaggs and his band, Kentucky Thunder, have made a profound impact on bluegrass and music, blending traditional sounds with innovative energy. Skaggs, a master of the mandolin, has helped revive and modernize while staying true to its roots, winning numerous Grammy Awards and influencing a new generation of musicians. Kentucky Thunder’s virtuosic performances and deep respect for the genre have solidified them as one of the most respected acts in the community.

Augusta, Big Timber, Billings, Butte, Kalispell, Lincoln, White Sulphur Springs, and Winnett.
