Home is where the heart is. Ours just happens to have a bar. 🍻

We are partnering up with Meagher County CattleWomen again this year to offer free smashburgers to Veteran’s on Veteran’s Day 🇺🇸

Spread the word that Veterans can get lunch on us (and Bar 47) on Veteran's Day! Thank you for your service to this country!

A Statement from the Owners of Bar 47

We sincerely apologize to Russ Christian, and to our community, for what happened when he visited Bar 47 with his service dog, Andy, this July. He should have been welcomed inside and treated with kindness and respect, without hesitation or embarrassment.

For more than 12 years, we have worked to make Bar 47 a welcoming place for everyone who lives in or visits White Sulphur Springs. Offering Mr. Christian a seat on the patio instead of inside fell short of that commitment.

We would never intentionally turn someone away for having a service dog. An unfortunate miscommunication and a lack of training on our part led to this incident. Regardless of our intentions, we let Mr. Christian down, and we are truly sorry.

As owners, we take responsibility. Our team had not been given the knowledge they needed to handle this situation properly. That was our failure, not theirs. We stand behind our employees and are responsible for giving them the tools to do their jobs well.

We love and welcome service dogs and appreciate the essential support they provide. We recognize that following the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a necessity, not a choice.

We have since trained our staff on service animal laws and how to approach these situations appropriately. We are also putting a written policy and clear signage in place, with mandatory training for every employee and manager across our restaurant group.

We want to be clear: service dogs are welcome inside Bar 47. That includes Mr. Christian and Andy. Guests with disabilities deserve the same hospitality, dignity, and respect as every other guest.

We cannot change what happened, but we can take responsibility, learn from it, and do better.

Everyone needs a good break. 🍻🎱
Whether that means a cold drink, a fresh smash burger off the grill, or a round of pool with your favorite people, Bar 47 is a pretty good place to take one.

Good people, full tables, and the kind of nights you don’t need much of a reason for.
Come grab a seat and stay awhile. 🍻

There’s just something about a small town night. Familiar faces, stories being told, and plenty of reasons to stay awhile. We’re pretty lucky to call this place home. 🤠

Congrats are in order for our September employee of the month ⭐️ Jen has been a star since she started! She is constantly lending a head, picking up a shift or staying late to help the team. We appreciate her so much! Thank you, Jen, for all your hard work! ✨

A bar is just a building until you fill it.

The regulars. The first-timers. The friends grabbing a drink after work. The families sitting down for dinner. The people who stop in for one and somehow stay for a few.

You’re what makes Bar 47 feel like Bar 47.

Thanks for showing up, supporting local, and giving these walls a whole lot of life. 🍻
