VFW Post 4442 Elm Grove Memorial Post The West Virginia Veterans of Foreign Wars has a rich tradition of serving veterans, military families and their local communities.

If you are a veteran and would like to join the VFW, we invite you to stop by the post to fill out an application or you can call to ask that we mail you an application. You can also join online at VFW.org
We invite you to visit our post for wonderful food and pleasant atmosphere. Post meetings are held at 1900 hours on the 3rd Thursday of every month.

Today my Sons of the American Revolution, Fort Henry Chapter, presented a Silver Citizenship Award to VFW Post 4442 Commander Gerald "Wally" McMasters. This award was presented by Jay Frey and was for all the hard work by Wally in getting the Purple Heart parking signs installed, over 50 of those in our area to include every WV DMV office.

1272 wreaths were placed at Riverview Cemetery in Moundsville by VFW Post 4442, American Legion Post 1 & 3, Moundsville Veteran Honor Guard, Civil Air Patrol, Boy Scouts and other volunteers. If I missed anyone I apologize in advance. Sorry. Riley Moore was our keynote speaker. His grandfather, Arch Alfred Moore, Jr, WV Govenor is buried in this cemetery.

1250 Wreaths will be delivered to American Legion Post 3 in Moundsville on Thursday at about 9 AM. Those wreaths will be hauled to the Riverview Cemetery on Friday starting at 9 AM. We will unbox the wreaths and spread them around the cemetery for the Saturday, 12 PM Wreaths Across America ceremony. We could use any and all help with the wreaths. Thanks in advance.
