While we still can, I want to take this opportunity to call out an amazing initiative that a great LUXE customer has been working on for some time (and keeping us informed over a cocktail or two as the project has evolved).

Jeff Schon and his team have just kicked off an Indiegogo initiative to help launch a great project called the Akili Network; a new TV network to bring the world's best educational content to 18 million kids in Kenya and potentially further in East Africa.

Dear Friends of LUXE,
It is with mixed feelings that I’m writing to tell you I’ve accepted an offer for the purchase of LUXE. Our last night in will be Sunday, April 17th. Please stop by this week and help us make the final week a memorable one.

I appreciate all the great people, fun times and the million laughs that we’ve shared, and I’ll miss being part of the Westport community. A special shout-out to Robert Reilly whose vision made LUXE a special place to so many, for so long.

And in related news, I’ll be needing a job, so if anyone can help with that, I’ll figure out how to show my appreciation.

The new owner will be making some changes and will re-open as “Bankside Social” – a Mediterranean Bistro, Wine & Dessert Bar. Please make them feel welcome, as you did for me.
