The 51st Ward to us represents not only Chicago but the broader Chicago area and beyond. Chicago is the epicenter of the nation's brewing renaissance and Tim Hoerman has been part of the the Chicago brewing scene for several years. As one of the original two founders of Urban Legend Brewing Company, Tim brought his unique take on traditional style beers to the commercial public. His Krispy Karl Imperial Stout won third place at the 2013 Midwest Brewers Fest in Plainfield, Illinois - the very first time it was available commercially. Now Tim brings Krispy Karl and his other creative brews to 51st Ward Beer Company. Tim's brewing accomplishments include following awards:
