WEST O B**R TO KICK OFF LAKES AREA OKTOBERFEST CELEBRATIONS ON SEPT. 19! ๐ฅจ๐บ
WEST OKOBOJI, Iowa โ West O B**r is preparing to raise a stein โ and a few heart rates โ during its annual WestOFest celebration on Saturday, Sept. 19.
The event will kick off a week of fall festivities leading into the University of Okobojiโs 35th Annual Oktoberfest on Sept. 25. WestOFest will feature German-style b**rs, festive food, games, college football and a one-mile race unlike anything the Lakes Area has seen before.
The celebration begins with the inaugural WestOFest B**r Mile. Participants may compete individually or assemble a four-person relay team, stopping every quarter-mile to enjoy a beverage before continuing the race. Adult participants will drink a 12-ounce light b**r at each stop, while nonalcoholic options will be available for anyone under the legal drinking age.
Costumes are strongly encouraged and rewarded. Costumed teams will receive a deduction from their final race time.
Friends, family members and spectators are invited to line the course, cheer on the competitors and stay for a full day of WestOFest fun.
