🚨 KID BRAIDERS, STOP LETTING “HER HEAD IS SMALL” DETERMINE YOUR PRICE. 🚨

One thing I need kid braiders to understand in 2026: SMALLER HEAD DOES NOT MEAN SMALLER WORK. 💯

Sometimes servicing a child requires MORE from you than servicing an adult.

You’re braiding while they’re sliding down the chair.
Stopping because they’re crying.
Feeding snacks.
Giving breaks.
Rocking babies to sleep.
Working around attitudes and meltdowns.
Getting kicked, hit, and pushed away. 😮‍💨
And somehow STILL expected to stay on schedule and deliver a neat, long-lasting style.

That’s PATIENCE. SKILL. EXPERIENCE. CARE. & TIME.

And THIS is where some kid braiders mess up: you price the HEAD instead of pricing the SERVICE. 🎯

You’re so worried about what somebody is willing to pay that you forget to calculate what it actually takes for YOU to provide the service.

I learned a long time ago that everybody is not supposed to be my client.

Raising my prices didn’t stop my business. It made room for clients who understand what comes with sitting in my chair. 👏🏽

Kid braiders, your specialty deserves to be treated like a SPECIALTY. 👑

Stop thinking, “Will they pay this?”
Start asking, “Does this price make sense for the work I’m doing?”
