Our in bar service might not be open but you still can buy bottles from our carryout store located at the front of the Cactus. Stock up for the semester or come chat with one of our managers who can put together a package of your favorite cactus drink or shot. You won’t find a better bang for your buck!!!

NEW GUIDELINES FOR OUR GUESTS TO ENSURE THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF SAFETY AND PRECAUTION WHILE VISITING THE NEON CACTUS.

NEON CACTUS HOURS UPON RE-OPEN DURING SUMMER
-THURSDAYS 8PM TO 2AM (LINE MAY BEGIN TO FORM 7PM)
-FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS 9PM TO 2AM

MASKS AND THE NEON CACTUS
-ALL GUESTS MUST HAVE A MASK TO GAIN ENTRY TO THE NEON CACTUS. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE, OR ARE IN NEED OF A NEW ONE, MASKS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AT OUR TEMPERATURE CHECK STATION TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE LINE.
-MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN THE NEON CACTUS

WAITING PROCEDURES WHILE IN LINE AT THE NEON CACTUS
-WHILE IN LINE, GUESTS ARE ALLOWED TO GATHER IN GROUPS OF NO MORE THAN 6 PERSONS IN CLEARLY DESIGNATED AREAS THAT CONTINUE OUR PRACTICE OF SOCIAL DISTANCING AS A WHOLE
-PLEASE WEAR MASKS WHILE IN LINE. AGAIN, MASKS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE OUTSIDE NEAR THE FRONT ENTRANCE IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF ONE OR SEVERAL.
-AS YOU APPROACH THE DESIGNATED TEMP CHECK AREA YOU WILL THEN BE CHECKED AND MOVED INTO A SINGLE FILE LINE TO AWAIT I.D CHECK AT ENTRANCE.



TABLE SIZE AND DANCE FLOOR DESIGNATED AREAS
-THE NUMBER OF GUESTS PER TABLE WILL BE 6 PERSONS
-DESIGNATED AREAS ON THE DANCEFLOOR ARE ALSO LIMITED TO UP TO 6 PERSONS

-THERE WILL BE NO STANDING IN THE PIANO BAR, AROUND POOL TABLES (EXCEPT FOR PLAYERS) OR IN COMMON AREAS (EXCLUDING DANCE FLOOR). IF YOU ARE UP TO GET SERVICE AT ONE OF THE BARS, PLEASE GET YOUR BEVERAGES AND THEN RETURN TO YOUR TABLE.

NEW DRINK SERVING PROCEDURES (TABLE SERVICE AND AT BARS)
-THERE ARE SLIGHT CHANGES IN SERVICE, BY EITHER A SERVER OR A BARTENDER, AND THOSE STAFF MEMBERS WILL EXPLAIN THEM AS YOU ORDER.

A MESSAGE FROM THE OWNERS OF THE NEON CACTUS

All of us have a “new normal” as we slowly work back into everyday life. Things that were taken for granted- concerts, sporting events, socializing at homes or in bars, dining in restaurants, going to work- now have to be viewed in a different set of protocols.

We are reopening the Cactus after almost 5 months of closure this Thursday, July 9th. During these 5 months we have worked with the Tippecanoe County Health Department and the COVID-19 Commission to get us to this point. Our staff has been trained on our new policies, and we have posted our new guest guidelines on our social media. We are ready to get back to entertaining you with the least risk to our staff and you, our guests.

Please know that these new policies, for as long as they have to be in place, will be strictly enforced. We want the return to providing entertainment to our campus and local community but only can do so with your help.

CORONAVIRUS PROTECTION, THE NEON CACTUS AND YOU!

These new guidelines for our staff and guests are to ensure the highest levels of safety and precautions while visiting the Neon Cactus.

NEON CACTUS NEW SUMMER HOURS

-Thursdays 8pm to 2am (line may begin to form at 7pm)

-Fridays and Saturdays 9pm to 2am

MASKS AND THE NEON CACTUS

-All guests MUST have a mask to gain entry to the Neon Cactus. If you do not have one or are in need of one, masks will be available for purchase at the temperature check station towards the front of the line for a purchase price of $2 (cash only please).

-Masks MUST be worn at all times while moving about the Cactus (i.e. visiting restroom, ordering drinks at the bar, playing pool, visiting outside patio area).

-While at a table you MAY remove your mask.

WAITING PROCEDURES WHILE IN LINE AT THE NEON CACTUS

-While in line, guests are allowed to gather in groups of no more than 6 persons in clearly marked areas that continue our practice of social distancing overall.

-Masks are to be worn while waiting in line if you are not 6’ apart. Again, masks are available for purchase near the front of the line at the temperature check station for $2 (cash only)

-Your temperature will be checked at the temperature check location near the entrance to the Neon Cactus and you will then flow into a single file line while awaiting I.D. check at the front door.

PAYING PROCEDURES FOR COVER

-RECOMMENDED payment for cover would be having $5 cash exactly. This will greatly reduce the amount of back and forth contact to be made and also will speed up the line time considerably.

-Other methods also preferred are to TAP AND PAY using your credit/debit card (if chip enabled), or Google Pay/Apple Pay on your mobile device.

-Credit and Debit cards are still acceptable, however, receipts will not be available.

TABLE SIZE AND DANCE FLOOR DESIGNATED AREAS

-The number of guest per table is six (6) persons.

-Designated areas on dance floor are also limited to no more than six (6) persons.

-Upon entering the piano bar please secure your table immediately. If you have less than six people at your table it will be up to you to allow others to fill in the number. ABSOLUTELY NO MOVING OF ADDITIONAL CHAIRS TO A TABLE.

-There will be NO standing in the piano bar, at pool tables unless you are the players, or in common areas (not including dance floor). If you are getting service from the bars, please get your beverages and return to your table.

NEW DRINK SERVING PROCEDURES (TABLE SERVICE AND BARS)

-To accommodate new guidelines in food and beverage service we have implemented a few changes in our service. Our servers or bartenders will explain and answer any questions you may have as you place or receive your orders. Social distance remains a must!

In this time of COVID-19 and the reopening of the Neon Cactus, we ask you to work with us to make it as safe as possible for you, your friends and our staff! All the above procedures will help us in this effort.

We will be hosting most creative mask contests and holding a MASK-arade Ball at the beginning of the school year so please stay up with our social media via Facebook and Instagram and in the Exponent.

We are so proud of our newest group of graduates! You will forever be known as the groundbreaking Boilers who figured out how to get through these times.

We are sorry we missed some months together but our doors will reopen and we will be here when you come back!
