What a Wing Night at The Boneyard Boccie Ball Club in Benton!!
The response and support from our friends and family and the communities of Benton and WF was incredible!
We had 386 pre-orders for wings, and 211 strips before we even started cooking! Due to the popularity, the day before we started to panic that we would not have enough chicken, so thank GOD for my brother-in-law, Richard Neibch, at McCord’s Market, who scored us some extra wings, as well as the good souls at Save-a-Lot who got us some more. A BIG THANK YOU to both hometown grocery stores!
Even still, by the end of the night, we had to cut off the orders at 557 wings, because we were worried we might run out of chicken!!
It was an AMAZING night of seeing old friends and making new ones, and we have so many people to thank for letting us get “The Crew” back together to make wings, like in the old days at the Moose. We had a blast!!
Thanks so much to OG Boccie members, for hosting us, supplying us, helping and supporting us, plus for putting up with me chattering on about it incessantly for days! 😂
Thank you to all who attended and patiently awaited their orders! You made it a perfect night, and if it took forever to get your food, please give us another chance! We have a plan to iron out the fryer kinks! We are going to try another wing night in the upcoming months and will have a better system. We thought we had planned for every hang-up, but some things had to be learned by doing. Had to start somewhere! 🙂
Mostly, thank you from the bottom of my heart to my wing crew friends!! The minute I sent the text out to see if they could help, they all instantly replied enthusiastically!The best part of the night for me was working with all of you and making more silly, crazy memories! I love you all dearly!! Thank you to Joe Bozarth, for donating and preparing the sauce, and for being there for anything we needed all night! Joe and Levi Noel came in CLUTCH in helping us transport wings, cook, etc.
