Aramis Ramirez is back and will be batting in the DH spot. The Brewers play tonight at Target field in Minnesota and it’s a perfect time to bring Ramirez back. The Brewers are 35-24 and are still 5 games ahead of second place St. Louis. If Ramirez starts to hit like we all know he can, Reynolds will move to first base and the crew will be about as powerful as any team could hope to be. I think its official; the Brewers are for real this year. Code word- Ramirez!

The Brewers are 12 over 500 at 35-23 and have opened a 5 game lead over second place St. Louis. This is what dreams are made of in a small market town. Picking up Mark Reynolds before the season, drafting Braun and Lucroy, trading for Gomez and Segura and having some free agent additions like Lohse and Garza step up makes for a healthy run at the post season. 12 games over 500 and they show no signs slowing down. The Giants and the Brewers are the only teams in the big leagues that haven’t been swept. Gallardo takes the mound tonight. What a batting line-up! Code word Pennant!

They say the trick is to just win series. Big league managers will tell you they don’t look at the standings, they don’t care about win streaks they just want to win series. Let’s see if they can’t take a series today form the cubbies. Kyle Lohse starts today. Code word: Series.

The crew moves to 11 over 500 at 33 -22. The bats are really hot. How hot? With ten hits today they can break the all-time Brewer record with 10 hits in their last 10 games. They tied their franchise best 10 hits in each of the last 9 games. The last time any team did that was back in 2011. Who? The Brewers! Peralta takes the mound today with a 2.12 ERA! However Jason Hammel is 4 -0 against the crew. The Brewers pitching is the best I’ve ever seen. Code word: 10 in 10

Those of us who follow baseball know that teams can get on a roll once they catch a few breaks and build a little momentum. Gallardo’s double Tuesday night in the 10th inning can easily provide the spark that starts a winning streak. We’re not looking for 11 in a row but maybe 7 out of the next 10. The Crew needs to continue to win series and build a cushion because the Cardinals won’t be selling their top players anytime soon. We now lead the Card’s by 3 full games. The Brewers will need some of that hutzpah tonight as the Cubs send Travis Wood to the mound and he is looking for his 5th win in May. Estrada gets the nod for the crew. Code word: Gomez
