Dear Friends and Family,

It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to sell our restaurant, Buckeye Jake's Eatery. This place holds so many cherished memories involving our coworkers, our guests, and our family.

Since I had COVID, my health has declined, and following this last episode, it became clear that I needed to rearrange my priorities and put my family first. We have become friends with so many of you, and I still look forward to seeing you every day.

Whether it was Guests having my back with a tire change, singing "Ice Ice Baby" while tossing ice in the air, hiding Jake Barr's coffee cups, listening to your stories, or enjoying the wonderful music outside—especially when the singers would single me out and make me blush with songs like "Lady in Red"—I will miss it all very much.

Hey. As most of you now know the owner of Buckeye Jake’s has been extremely sick. The community has come together to help them in the past, so I wanted to post this here in hopes we can help this amazing couple as much as we can. Thanks go out everyone who has already helped. I know times are tough for everyone, so even if you are unable to donate, please share.

Adriane was taken to the hospital on Monday and has been experiencing ongoing seizures. She is expected to remain hospitalized for at least two more days, possibly longer, as doctors work to find a way to stop them.
