Good morning and happy Saturday once again. For those of you that have not been able to drive by this week, and I can’t imagine there are any of you that have not driven by…. (I really should’ve set up a toll road to help with the cost of the rebuild) here’s the update.
We did manage to get a concrete pad poured on the north side of the building. Unfortunately it was done in the rain because that’s what it does here. Rains. A lot. And that rain has really caused some significant building delays. We’re hoping to have the stairs in by now. But alas, such as not the case. Between mother nature and supply chain issues, I humbly admit that I will not be able to be opened by memorial Day weekend. We did our best. Overall, we’ve accomplished quite a bit (inside concrete floor is poured and sealed, and looks pretty good. Starting today combination of interior and exterior framing and siding will begin, and when everyone is able, the steps will be formed and poured as will be handicapped access on the south side of the building )and will continue to do so over the next few weeks. I don’t have a date set, but it looks like perhaps sometime early to mid June we should be ready to go.
For those of you wondering about the boat launch: it should be ready to go by next Thursday or Friday. And again for those of you that have not been down at the lake, be forewarned. The water level system very high, and all of the docks are still underwater.
Thanks again for your patience and understanding. When we’re open, we will be open daily and all year long. Looks like I’ll just need a few more weeks to get things rocking and rolling.
By the way, that last picture is Joanne, my daughter Marisa along with my two-year-old grandson Rome, who with a surprise visit from friends, Louis and Erin finished planting over 1000 plants in the side of the hill
