Someone asked us why we chose the The Lunch Box MN food truck for our Shopping Opener on Saturday!

Besides serving yummy breakfast and lunch, they were here in Waterville serving free food to workers and volunteers during the flood in 2024.

Those connections and efforts matter and we are happy to have them back!

Waterville Chamber of Commerce October Meeting

The Waterville Chamber of Commerce conducted its October meeting on the 20th at the new Waterville Fire Hall. Based on member feedback at the September meeting, the meeting focused less on “Chamber business items” and instead more on members interacting and networking. In addition, a spread of treats was available to attendees, highlighted by multiple offerings provided by Davis’ MarketPlace.

One key Chamber business item was conducted: election of 2 Board members. Voting was done resulting in Katy Montgomery and Brady Fisher being elected to the Chamber board.

The majority of the night was spent on discussing marketing. Consultant Holly Sobrack of Westbrack Marketing lead the discussion. Holly first offered advice to business owners on marketing during the holiday season. Secondly she focused on brainstorming with attendees ideas to market the upcoming Chamber holiday events: Trunk or Treat on Main Street (Oct. 31); Holiday Shopping Opener (Nov. 7 & 8); and Holiday Magic on Main (Nov. 28).

The meeting concluded with a tour of the new fire hall. Waterville Fire Chief Chris Meskan did an excellent job of leading the tour, providing insight into how it was constructed plus weaving in historical notes of interest.
