Thank You

So, I needed a week to reflect on last week’s final night at Drescher’s… To say the least, I was sad… But at the same time, I was so happy with the way the night went. The turnout was AMAZING! More people came in than anticipated. We were packed to the gill by 6:30pm. And stayed busy until well after midnight. Saw some old faces, as well as some new. The regulars went all out!! The pipes were AMAZING, as usual, and gave us an entire night of entertainment!! We had a flash mob of Witches who stormed the restaurant. That was fun. And my humble staff pushed through the madness with a smile on their face, happy to see the place rock out on its last night.

So, in this farewell, I THANK YOU one more time…. Thank you to all who helped, guided, and supported me along the way. I’m forever grateful!! Thank you to all who showed up to say goodbye.

But, please know this isn’t Goodbye, it’s simply, I’ll see you later… 🙏🏼🙌🏼🙏🏼😘

Hello All- I have some news to share. A few months ago, the Walshe Family decided to put the Drescher’s Building up for sale. The Walshe Family did offer me the opportunity to purchase the building, but it just wasn’t in my cards at the moment. With the uncertainty of the buildings future, I have decided to end my time as their tenant. With that said, my ownership of Drescher‘s Restaurant & Bar will end at the end of this month.

I have so many people to thank for letting me live my dream of owning a restaurant happen. First and foremost, I need to thank the Walshe family for giving me this opportunity to make this dream happen. Allowing me access to their building and their history was an honor. I specifically need to thank David Walshe for his support and guidance in getting things going and maintaining civility. It was big task taking on this large piece of history. THANK YOU!

I must also thank the City of Waterbury, Mayor O’Leary and his administration, the workers of City Hall, the Police Department, the Fire Department, teachers, and all work forces within the City. Also, a thank you to the REP-AM for sharing my adventure and progress throughout. You all supported me and embraced the idea, the endeavor, and the dream with open arms. THANK YOU!

Next, I have to thank my immediate family… Without your blessing, the dream doesn’t happen! I appreciate your support, your help, your understanding, your guidance, and more importantly, your love! THANK YOU!

Next, to my staff… Thank you TO ALL that have worked with me along the way during this wild ride. I am still blessed to have mostly the same people working for me that started with me on day one. I appreciate your loyalty, your help in navigating through the opening, year 1, then COVID, then post COVID. Like I said, WILD RIDE!! THANK YOU!

Lastly, and most importantly, to my loyal customers and friends, THANK YOU for supporting this dream! Without your loyalty in coming into the restaurant every week, especially through COVID, it would have been impossible to keep the doors open. My gratitude for your support could never be expressed!! THANK YOU!

I do have something news in the works… So please do check back!!
