For those that have followed our journey over the last 7 years this might be a familiar face. Meet Larry Suggs, affectionately known as Bartender Larry. Larry was a key member of our opening team, responsible for creating a number of our Hackney classic cocktails.
Today I was lucky to be one of Larry’s first customers at his brand new venture that opens to the public on Monday.
APB (All Purpose Bar) is located in an iconic building in the heart of the dynamic NODA district in the Queens city.
And, Yes the cocktail was amazing!

Our final event ‘Island Time’ on Sunday afternoon. A Caribbean inspired event featuring delicious plates from chefs from places like Haiti and St Kitts, great music and island inspired cocktails.
We were delighted to be partnered with Lmanuel the head bartender at the Hilton Club Liberty Place in downtown Charleston. Lmanuel created a delicious Gin Smash featuring our 1000 Piers Blueberry Gin, orgeat, blueberry jam and lemon juice, which proved to be a huge hit!!
It was the perfect end this year’s food and wine adventure!!

Saturday night Toasted. A wonderful celebration of everything BBQ.
At this event we were flying solo pouring tastes of our award wining 1000 Piers Coastal Carolina Gin, Blueberry Gin and Barrel Rested Gin. As well as mixing up delicious G&T’s.
We were so crazy busy we had no time to take more pictures once things kicked off 🤷🏻‍♂️.
Looking forward to our next event Island Time at 1
PM on Sunday.

1000 Piers Gin Street Eats.
We were delighted to team up with the super talented Maura Griffin, head bartender at the beautiful rooftop Restaurant Eleve in the stunning Grand Bohemian Hotel in Charleston.
Maura mixed up a wonderful libation featuring our 1000 Piers Coastal Carolina Gin, raspberries soaked in Cocchi Americano, Apetol and chamomile tea. Yummy 😋!
We are also pouring on Saturday at Toasted and on Sunday at Island Time. Come and say hi.

HELP NEEDED!! Do you know anyome looking for some regular part time work??
The Hackney Distillery is looking for two or three people that can help us with our bottling. On average this will involve working 2 days a week, may be more on some weeks. Hours will be between 11am and 4pm. Pay is $15/hour.

Applicants will need to be physically able as the work will involve lifting boxes which can be quite heavy and standing on your feet for 4-5 hours. We will provide training.

Whiskey Lovers Alert ‼️
Come and try our new 1000 Piers limited edition barrel rested gin.
Two years ago we put 50 gallons of our multi-award winning 1000 Piers Coastal Carolina Gin in a double rye barrel from Southern Distilling in Statesville NC and waited for the magic to happen.
Every month we have tasted it check on its progress. Last month when we tasted it we knew it was finally ready to tip and bottle.
We have 500 375ml bottles to sell. So come and give it a taste at the distillery or The Hackney bar. We will be open throughout the Holiday season Monday to Saturday: 11:00am - 9:00pm.
After 5:15pm you can purchase from the front desk so come in through the restaurant entrance.

Its Back!!
The Tide has come in just in time for making wonderful fall and winter cocktails. Our delicious 1000 Piers Winter Tide Gin muddled with fresh cranberries and sweet orange peel is now available for sale at the distillery and in Beaufort County stores. Soon to also be in Wake, Pitt, Craven, Dare, Meck, Wilson, New Hanover and more.
