Capitol Hill, your Saturday has a soundtrack. 🎶

Our neighborhood’s first PorchFest is this Saturday, October 10, 2-6 PM! Explore the Hill, discover local musicians, and catch up with neighbors as porches become stages for an afternoon of free live music.

Make an afternoon of it: catch a porch performance, pop into DCANTER for our Saturday w**e tasting from 12–4 PM, then head out for another show. A little music, a little w**e discovery, and plenty of neighborhood wandering.

Michael’s got your weekend refreshments covered, too: canned w**es, a w**e spritz with those Aperol spritz vibes, and boxed w**e worth getting to know. Perfect for a relaxed evening on your own porch or gathering with friends after the music.

Hey DCANTER Cru, the team just finished a tasting with Kim McPherson, and we’re already excited for you guys to meet him tonight at the Old Town Alexandria shop. 🍷

We’ve been fans of his Texas w**es for years. If you’ve shopped at DCANTER, you may have heard us rave about "The Queen" orange w**e or Texas-grown Sangiovese. Today, our team explored more of his lineup—and found a few more w**es we’d love to bring to our shelves.

Tonight, it’s your turn! Kim will be at DCANTER Alexandria pouring:
✨ Sparkling Chenin Blanc
✨ Queen Orange W**e
✨ Sangiovese

That Sangiovese deserves a special mention: Kim shared that this is the final vintage from vines more than 45 years old. The aging vines have been removed and the vineyard replanted. The new vines have years of growing ahead of them. This w**e is a delicious piece of that vineyard’s history—and we’re thrilled to share it with you.

We had so much fun at Sparkle & Slice last weekend, pairing Andy’s Pizza with Lambrusco at our Old Town shop (thanks so much to all who came!!!), that we’re keeping the pizza-pairing inspiration going!
